POV: You're our Water Quality Monitoring Specialist getting the past year's data ready to submit to the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality.
This time of the year- the lull in between early winter storm sampling and late spring temperature logger deployments- is a lot of desk time for our Water Quality Monitoring Program staff. Each year's data is thoroughly audited to meet ORDEQ's standards before it is sent in to the Department for review and uploaded to the public access portal; plus, District staff take this time to assess for answers to our own questions about local waterway health.
