Siletz Focus Area

Lincoln Soil and Water Conservation District (LSWCD) selected the Siletz Watershed as its Focus Area in 2017 in order to:

1. Concentrate conservation efforts on agricultural waters and land
2. Better document the effectiveness of conservation projects.

Pre-Assessment: Riparian Land Use in the Siletz Basin

During 2018 and 2019, LSWCD conducted a pre-assessment of vegetation and current land use in riparian lands (35 feet from a stream or river channel) in the Siletz Basin, which includes the mainstem Siletz River and its tributaries. Pre-assessment maps are linked by subbasin below:
