Noxious Weed Control & Prevention
- Project Timeline: February 2020 through December 2023
Partnerships & Collaborations: Cascade Pacific Resource Conservation & Development
Project Description: Conducting free weed treatment for 3 fast-spreading noxious weeds along the Alsea River: Policeman's Helmet, Yellow Flag Iris, and Knotweeds. Treatment will use a combination of manual control and fish and mammal-safe herbicides. Cutting, mowing, or pulling these weeds causes faster and more vigorous growth - do not disturb them!
Do you live in the Alsea River Watershed and have these weeds on your property? Contact us at (541) 265-2631 or email Lincoln Soil and Water for free weed treatment!
