What is a Conservation Plan?
1. An assessment of your farm's landscape and natural resources present (i.e. pastures, slopes, animals, streams, wetlands, woodland, and existing infrastructure) 2. A list of informed management recommendations that incorporate your farm's goals, operations, and capacity. These management prescriptions are funded and carried out over time as resources are available and producers are willing/able to carry them out in partnership with LSWCD and NRCS on a voluntary basis There are numerous benefits to writing and implementing a Conservation Plan:
